Research shows that young children learn best through play, as it enables them to learn about themselves, people and the world around them.
Development however is not automatic but depends on a child having opportunities to interact with others in supportive, enabling environments. We take a balanced approach to a play-based learning space, while ensuring the children develop specific skills.

Once-off registration fee – R2 000

Our caregivers recognise the powerful impact they can have on the lives of children.
They understand that every child has the right to be treated with respect and dignity, and has the right to develop at their own pace.
The small size of our school creates a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that helps children feel at ease and less overwhelmed than they might in a large setting.
The outdoor playground is a safe, fenced-in area offering a range of activities for children to enjoy.
The classroom features a well-equipped free-play area, child-sized furniture and amenities, as well as a dedicated open space for music, active play and nap time.
We have a mixed age group of 18 children and are continually amazed with the benefits this bring.
Younger children's exposure to different play scenarios enhances their understanding of the world, while older children develop patience and problem-solving skills by including younger children in their play.
Siblings can strengthen their bond and share their play dynamics with the group.
Although we group the children by age for specific activities and outcomes, their overall experience is enriched when engaging with peers of all ages.
We follow a play-based curriculum with daily activities planned around themes.
We don't do worksheets. Instead of having children circle the green objects on a page, we get them to actively explore the environment. They play a game where they run around and gather every green item they can find. This multi-sensory approach, involving sight, movement, and touch, helps children better grasp and retain new concepts.
Our program includes teaching age-appropriate life skills to help children develop a sense of self and build self-confidence by learning to do things for themselves.
Our program complies with all government requirements, and assessments are done according to CAPS outcomes.
Our gross motor program, which is based on the "Active for Life" modules, encourages all children to participate in group play, fostering their desire for physical activity.
Activities are presented as simple, fun games that develop movement skills and create a love of being active.
The "Active for life" website is a great resource for parents, providing developmental milestones for ages 1 to 12.
Our parents tell us they like the ample space for their children to explore and play imaginatively.
They are delighted with the colourful, child centric classroom and with the many friends their children have.
They especially appreciate the friendly, warm and caring staff.
They see their kids thriving in the smaller, more personalised environment where they receive individual attention.
They notice how happy their kids are and how they look forward to go to school
We recognise the anxiety that parents experience as their children leave the comforts of home to enter an unfamiliar environment.
Most children adapt well to daycare within a few days, though others may take a little longer.
The reality is that occasionally a child struggles to adapt and often lack the necessary support from their daycare.
Our staff work with parents to navigate this sometimes challenging time.
Here are some tips that might help you and your child on their first day of daycare.
